There are three Beginner Workshops coming up this week and next.
Pick the perfect way to round out your year.
Looking for a cozy evening, with fantastic big band music? Kaleb is here for you! Spend the evening gliding across the dance florr with your sweetheart while you learn to Swing and Fox Trot at a date night sure to fill you with warm fuzzies for years to come.
Want to boogie without worrying about a partner, dancing all evening to fun songs of all kinds? (Yes, there is probably going to be some holiday music!) Then hang out with Lisa as she gets stepping, clapping, tapping, and spinning with beginner friendly line dances that never go out of style.
Find history facinating? Want to dance like George Washington and Jane Austen did in their respective times? Join Debbi as she leads another "Casual Evening of Historic Dance" with the NRV Historic Dancers. "Casual" means no experience or particular dress required, just a sense of adventure and maybe a bit of humor.
All these classes are beginner friendly and open to every one! Please register by noon on the day of the class.

Holiday Hustle Update
The first class (the more advanced group) was jam-packed with material. We got it all, but might have leaft feeling a little brain mushy. Now it's a matter of practice-practice-practice.
Debbi and Adam ended the class last Monday doing both the sections taught, and have since successfully gotten though (scrambled though?) the entire song using all four parts.
If you want to join the Holiday Hustle class, there is still time. The more friendly class will be happening on Monday, Dec 5 (details). This class only requires a little bit of hustle experience. Or you can learn the solo section at the Line dance workshop on Dec 6 (details above). |

December Happy Hour Practice Party
Friday, December 16, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
There's no alcohol at this happy hour, just awesome dancing to fun music. It's not quite a Dance Party, but it is a nice, relaxed chance to practice some of your favorite dance moves. Looking for a mellow meeting of fellow dancer-people with some marshmallow treats on the side? This practice session is just what you need. As always, feel free to ask for your favorite tunes or dance styles at the party! Cookies of all sorts are welcome. We'll even provide some healthy snacks for you self-disciplined people (go you!).
Location: Sapphire Studio
Price: Tip Jar Details.

Sapphire's group classes and workshops are always small, low stress, and fun. They are a great way to meet other people who have also decided to learn to dance, as well as get to know our teaching staff. It doesn't take any long-term investment to get started, no special clothing or shoes - just something comfortable to wear and a sense of adventure. So, take the plunge and try it out.
All classes (in person or online) require registration by noon the day the class starts. We are happy to add late-comers if we can, but classes may be cancelled or rescheduled if registration is low.
Five ways to register, just choose one and we'll take care of the rest:
1 - reply to this email info@sapphiredance.com;
2 - register and pay at the same time at our online store at SapphireBallroom.square.site;
3 - talk to your favorite Sapphire Staff member;
4 - give us a ring at 540-382-8782;
5 - Blacksburg Group classes are best registered through the Blacksburg Community Center webpage.
Thanks for reading; we hope you found something you liked. Until we see you again, happy dancing! |
