Private Lessons

Set your own schedule, pace, and focus with lessons designed around your needs, goals, and interests. In Private Lessons, Semi-Privates, and Personalized Groups, it really is all about you!

A lesson hour is 50 minutes of instruction, with a 10 minute buffer for break, review, and scheduling. They are held at our studio in Christiansburg, and can be scheduled, according to your schedule and the instructor's availability on weekdays and weekends, mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Maximizing the use of our facilities is one way we can keep prices down for you. Therefore, we appreciate any professional courtesy you can extend, and reserve the right to charge for any lesson canceled within 24 hours of the appointed time.

Private Lessons (1-2 people)

This one-on-one time with your instructor is a valuable complement to group classes and workshops.  It can also be a great way to get started if you are uneasy about the idea of a group environment.

Ultimately, every dancer will want to experience this way of learning.  You’ll know when you reach that crucial point where private lessons are needed to enhance progress, refresh memories of forgotten steps, fine tune partnering skills and personal style, as well as gain that needed confidence.

You will be amazed at how much more you get out of a lesson with a one-to-one or a two-to-one student-teacher ratio! That's because the lesson is catered to you and only you.

Just call or e-mail us to schedule your lessons.  To get started, we’ll pair you with the teacher that fits your schedule the best.  If you have met our staff and want to work with someone specific, feel free to make a request.  Also, we welcome and encourage you to take lessons from multiple staff members.  A fresh perspective could be just what you need to master that latest move.

Cost (effective Nov. 2008):
First-time customers: receive over 30% off of a group of 4 lessons
    - 4 lessons for $120!

Bonus: Students who take private lessons regularly are also invited to use the dance floor for practice, free of charge, whenever the studio is already open for other private lessons.

Private lessons are available by appointment for singles and couples on 7 days a week, mornings, afternoons or evenings.  If you bring your entourage of 1, the price includes both of you. The second person is typically your partner, but note that a lesson with 2 followers or 2 leaders (where instructor fills opposite role) is still priced as a private lesson. They are held at our studio in downtown Christiansburg, and can be scheduled, according to your needs and the instructor's availability.

Semi-Private Lessons (3-6 people)

The more you dance, the more fun you'll have and the more benefits you'll receive from it. And, who better to practice and learn with than friends? That's why we also give the option of semi-private lessons.

You still get a higher degree of individual attention compared to group classes and, though the total price increases as the number of people increase, the actual cost per person goes down!

Semi-Private Lessons may also be purchased in packages, with payment made in 2 equal installments:

Personalized Group Lessons (Your whole entourage)

Want dance lessons for your club, your associates, or your special event?
Pricing can range from $84-$300/lesson, and is dependent on the following conditions:

- Location (Accommodations & travel distance if off-site)
- Day and Time,
- Size of group,
- Length and frequency of lessons.

Off-Site minimum is $84; Discounts available for non-profit and student organizations. Contact us for a quote.
