Our last full set of group classes for 2016 will be starting the last week in October, on Tuesday the 25th and Wednesday the 26th. As always, we have a little bit of every genre to keep you learning more ways to get on the dance floor. Here’s the rundown on the schedule:
If you are looking for a dramatic dance with lots of style you might consider the American Tango. Like all Ballroom dances it travels around the floor but what makes Tango stand out is it’s sharp movements to accent the staccato rhythm. This showy style is tons of fun!
Representing the Latin styles this session is the Rumba. It has a slow rhythm, allowing plenty of time to put the Latin “spice” into your dance. It is also great for many non-Latin tunes as well, which makes it a “go-to” dance style for any event.
If you are looking for a Ballroom style but want to trade the drama of the Tango for some romance, then Waltz is one for you! Comprised of soft, round, flowing movements, Waltz is one of the most “classic” dances around...one of the oldest styles as well! You can never go wrong with the Waltz.
West Coast Swing will be the Swing style to round out our Fall line-up. One of the more challenging swing styles, West Coast has a elastic look filled with exciting extension and compression. While this style is challenging it is also super cool and worth the effort. Like all of our Level 1 classes, we break it down and make it approachable for anyone!
The Class-By-Requests starting soon will be two continuation classes… Level 2 Fox Trot on Tuesdays at 8:15 and Level 2 Swing on Wednesdays at 6:00.
